By people, for people. I want to help bring the human element to your product; empathizing with your users to create a seamless experience that is useful, usable and delightful.

About me

Let’s start with you—your goals, challenges, and vision. Because great design begins with meaningful conversations.

I’m Kristie Nelson, a User Experience Designer with a passion for crafting intuitive, human-centered solutions. My work bridges design and psychology, creating experiences that resonate emotionally and deliver measurable impact. Specializing in the home and design industries, I excel at embedding the human element into every project, fostering collaboration between designers, architects, and luxury home brands to solve complex problems holistically.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Psychology, my career began as a Creative Consultant and evolved into Creative Director for a Long Island City studio. During this time, I collaborated with globally recognized brands such as National Geographic, Porsche, Stumptown, NHL, and Sony. While I valued these experiences, I felt compelled to merge my expertise in design and psychology in a way that would directly improve lives—leading me to UX design.

For the past five years, I’ve been honing my craft at Katie Brockman & Co., where I’ve partnered with world-class clients, including Luceplan, Calligaris, Sherle Wagner, ABC Stone, L’Atelier, Michael Simon Interiors, and TimberTech. My role involves not only designing innovative digital solutions but also shaping strategic visions that align with business goals and user needs. Whether designing responsive platforms, streamlining e-commerce experiences, or developing systems-level solutions, I thrive on creating work that balances form, function, and emotional connection.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, I bring a New Yorker’s energy and adaptability to everything I do. My approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Let’s connect and create something extraordinary together.
